Centrally located within a 200m stroll to the heart of town and adjacent to one of Byrons most famous surfing breaks "The Wreck", Bay Haven Lodge is a fully renovated traditional Whalers Cottage and is the only one of its kind in the area offering guest accommodation.
Purposely built for the original forefathers of yesteryears whaling industry this beautiful property provides a magnificent character, featuring high set ceilings, original teak polished floorboards throughout, natural stone ensuites, granite vanities, timber windows, bi-folds and French, all with the modernised fixtures you would expect such as reverse cycle air conditioning, remote control ceiling fans, dimmable down lighting, large mirrors, 81cm LCD screens, DVD player, choice of shower heads and tea/coffee facilities.
The lodge has a large sunroom which has been converted into a guest common area fitted with leather lounge suits, 110cm LCD screen, phone and fax facilities and a guest fridge.
The bi-fold doors of the common area open to the expansive Balinese garden were you can have a BBQ, lounge by the water feature, sit and have a morning coffee or just lay in peace and soak up the romantic tropical north atmosphere.
The Garden suits have the added luxury of opening onto the gardens where enjoying a glass of red by a dimly lit garden, or in the privacy of your own room is always a treat.

Bay Haven Lodge is located at 16 Shirley St, Byron Bay. Shirley Street is the main street northbound out of town. Allow 45 minutes to Coolangatta International Airport or 30 minutes to Byron/Ballina Airport. Airport shuttles run from both of these ports on a daily basis and will drop you to our door.
